Nium receives licence to issue e-money and provide cross-border digital payments in the UK after Brexit

The Financial Conduct Authority has given Singaporean FinTech Nium an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence.

When Singapore-based Nium launched InstaReM to simplify cross-border remittances, they realized that in addition to a successful product, they had created something even be more valuable: a platform capable of moving money around the world.

They partnered with Visa to help power real-time money transfers to Visa debit cardholders across Southeast Asia.
