Kevin Dedes (Founding Artistic Director) began his acting career in Rochester, his hometown. He was co-founder, producer, actor, and writer for tCtc in New York City with fellow graduates of San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater. As an actor, he has played on stages such as Rochester’s own Shipping Dock Theater, New York’s The Flea and Gallery Players, and regional theaters such as San Jose Rep, ACT, and CalShakes. For the last few years in New York City, Mr. Dedes kept busy with a variety of projects including stand-up comedy, music, and producing his original work, Turtleback High. He is excited to be working on a new professional theater in the Rochester area. For more of his work, please go to Contact Kevin at

Jessica Thurston Crosby (Marketing Director) has a degree in Communication Theory from Roberts Wesleyan College. RWC is where she gained much of her nonprofit experience, as she founded Muse Creative Arts Ministry, an organization that produces and provides direction for student-written plays. In 2011, she worked as the supervisor of background talent on the set of the motion picture King’s Faith where she also was blessed to appear on screen as a nurse. Productions with The Kingfisher Theater include Oedipus Rex; The Devil, the Witch, and the Blacksmith; Sir Patient Fancy; and Creditors. Amy Canfield (Literary Manager / Resident Dramaturg) worked in diverse roles (actor, director, dramaturg, box office, and stage management) at such Chicago theatres as Touchstone Theatre (now The Organic Theater Company), the Chicago Dramatists Workshop, and The Goodman Theatre, as well as The New American Theatre in Rockford, Illinois. Amy holds a PhD in Theatre History, Literature, and Criticism from The Ohio State University, and has been a Visiting Assistant Professor and adjunct faculty member at area institutions such as Genesee Community CollegeRochester Institute of TechnologySUNY Geneseo, and Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Ben Meyer (Technical Director / IT Consultant) is originally from Portland, Oregon, where he began stage managing with classic musicals such as Annie, Grease, and Oklahoma! Later he SMed and was the Technical Director for Twelve Angry Men, A Comedy of Errors, and Much Ado About Nothing. Before coming to Rochester he worked on Dying City for The Portland Playhouse as Assistant Stage Manager and Speech and Debate for Blue Monkey Theatre Company as Technical Director and Stage Manager. In Rochester he has exhibited his lighting, sound design, and stage managing skills on Bread & Water Theatre’s production of The Libation Bearers. Contact Ben at

Kristy Barr10648676_10100355831547963_2314387573290478069_o (Administrative Director) fell in love with theatre at a young age, and credits Penfield Rec’s Young, Open, and Honest Players for nurturing that passion through her childhood. Though she has spent some time behind the scenes, she is primarily an actor and a singer, and has enjoyed playing many diverse roles with various theatre companies in the Greater Rochester area. Kristy graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a B.A. in History and a minor in Psychology. She worked for three years as HR Manager at local beverage distributor Lake Beverage Corp., and is currently part-time Payroll Manager there while pursuing her M.A. in Liberal Studies through Empire State College.
